This application’s interface is simple, which makes it easy to use. It is made up of three independent windows. One of these hosts the playback controls, which use the same icons that are commonly found in other media players, so you will probably find no difficulty in using it from the start. There are also other buttons to adjust volume, enable shuffling and activate repetition. There is another window where the playlist is shown, with some buttons to add individual files or full folders. Finally, there is the window where videos are displayed. In general, Hiro Player’s user interface is rather unattractive. It uses non-squared windows, which look disproportioned and take a lot of screen space. In addition, the choice of colors and shapes make it look as the result of a rather poor design work.
While using this application, run-time errors continually appeared and this made it almost impossible to check its playback capabilities. As a whole, Hiro Player is no substitute for other available media players.
